Tony Fayte aka Devianti aka G.I.T.m.
[br][hr][br]Born on February 5, 1978 to teenage parents, Tony Fayte was concieved in 3rd Ward in Houston, TX and birthed in downtown San Antonio. He spent his whole life traveling to and fro essentially being raised in both cities. This in itself turned out to be a gift and a curse. On one hand, he was the only child (besides his brother Young Steen) in both of his cities that actually had two hoods.
[br][hr][br]San Antonio, TX - S.T.I.X.X. County[br][hr][br]
Raised in S.T.I.X.X. County in San Antonio by his mother, step-father, and a family of gangsters, he was exposed to gang-life at an early age. Being in an all Blood neighborhood it was hard to resist temptation. The main key that kept Tony out of a gang was knowing he had family on the other side. Family always came first. Over the years this stance is what would become the foundation of a man able to stand alone as a fully functioning one man crew. From writing to producing to album covers and marketing, T. Fayte does it all.
[br][hr][br]Houston, TX Riverwood Organization aka R.W.O.[br][hr][br]
Raised by a family of hustlers from 3rd Ward who moved to Riverwood, a neighborhood on the infamous Homestead Dr., including his father, grandparents, aunts ,and uncles, young Mr. Fayte was quickly exposed to the true hustlers life at a young age. Needless to say, "Real hustlers don't talk", that's why you won't hear much about it in his music. Let's just say that as a child they were the kids to know in the neighborhood because his grandfather the late great Tin Hat or Gravy made sure that they had all of the new things and the best education. He's traveled a little and been exposed to different things. At the age of eleven his father met with an untimely demise. He had taken all he "thought" he could take and climbed onto the guardrail of the Pierce Elevated, an elevated section of freeway near downtown Houston, contemplating suicide. When Fayte's grandmother arrived at the scene his father changed his mind ad decided to come down. He was then taken into H.P.D. custody which was the last time he was seen alive. The next day the newspaper article read "Freeway Jumper Dies of Apparent Drug Overdose" but he never made it out of the back seat of that car. Through it all he remained one of the smartest kids in school. This helped in forging a path of a search for truth and not accepting what's given.
[br][hr][br]It's the gift and the curse. On the one hand... You have two great cities full of love... On the other hand... You're always missing someone... Can't have it all
[br][hr][br]Hip Hop Is What Kept Young Master Fayte Sane!!!
[br][hr][br]A true lover of Hip-Hop, T. Fayte has been actively educating the unknowing about Our Culture and Our Life since he was a young child.
When asked about influences they are as vast as is his vocabulary. They include such Hip-Hop artists and influencers of Hip-Hop as the late greats Tupac Shakur, Eazy-E, D.J. Skrew, Jam Master Jay, Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Biggie Smallz, Left Eye, O.D.B., Big Pun, Big H.A.W.K., Fat Pat, Mac Dre, Proof, and current artists Chamillionaire, Bun B, Pimp C, Scarface, Jay Z, Nas, Big Boi, Andre 3000, Paul Wall, Eminem, Dr. Dre, The Game, 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, B.G., Mystikal, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Mary J Blige, Linkin Park, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Buju Banton, Supercat, Beenie Man, Damian Marley, Lauryn Hill, Jeffrey Osbourne... Etc. etc... I'm sure you all get the picture.
[br][hr][br]To say the very least young Mr. Fayte has a great cultural and sociological grasp on the world and everything in it.
