For Jonathon Davis, aka OBAE, it all started in the Sun Valley Projects.
OBAE was only two years old when his mother dropped him off on his aunts door step.
His mother was always on the move and could not take care of her young child.
As for his father, the man abandoned the young boy and his mother when he was only two months old;
leaving OBae without his natural birth parents. The only parental guidance
OBae would receive came from his aunt her children and the streets. OBae's aunt passed
away when OBae was only six years old. The passing left OBae under the guidance of his cousins.
His cousins were not the best influences, leading a twelve year old OBae to a life on the run from legal troubles.
The turmoil changed a young Jonathon, and made him grow up very young.
By the time he was thirteen he had all ready been in and out of juvenile hall.
OBae and his cousins eventully got out of the projects. He started looking for an alternative.
The young man found his alternative through music. Today, OBae is becoming a feel good story.
Afterall, the kid has gone through more turmoil and stress before the age of
twenty five then most people go through in a life time. At twenty-four OBae is starting to see his potential.
He is now producing instrumental beats for local music artists, distributing several
mixed tapes and coming soon will be his much anticipated album, "NOW OR NEVER".
DOPE CITY Entertainment, OBae's record label is putting several projects together and
OBae helped launch the labels new clothing line. Last month....
