About Me:
I am the Harlem born Bronx bred lyricist that your parents will hate to love. I started writing songs at the age of 13 with playskool rhymes I was inspired by my cousin Reggie Mendoza which taught me the ins and outs of song structure, delivery, metaphores, and punchlines. At the age of 16 my lyrics grew as fast as my street credability. Like many others I lived the fast lane life struggling to make ends meet.At the age of 17 I was jumped by 16 members of a gang which I will not disclose due to my past affiliations. And i almost died thats when I realized i was here for a greater purpose and saw rhyming was my outlet. The pen is my soul, my body and the page my vehicle and the songs my destination. So when you hear my songs escape with me. Over the years I battled lyricist from New York, Florida, Louisanna, Virginia, and Chicago. Giving me a current record of 84-1. In 2002 I was a semi finalist of a competition called Urban Idolz. I performed at Club Nells, and Club O&s during this competition. In 2004 I was in the Source Unsigned Hype mixtape tour that was hosted by Mister Cee, where I received my first and only loss. There I was in 4th Place out of hundreds of competitors. That was located at Madison Square Garden. Since then I have performed at Club Passions, Savoy,Club Pyramid, and at Club Rebel When you hear my songs remember I talk about what I do, what I have been through or what I have thought about doing it. So WARNING:YOU ARE LISTENING TO NON FICTION MATERIAL DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME HONESTY SHOULD ONLY BE USED BY LYRICIST NOT RAPPERS.

I can explain hip hop. I am hip hop. From the depths of my poverty to the struggle of elevating myself. Passing the buck is a very simplistic way of trying to explain away a whole culture. One that no matter how hard you try, you are a part of. That there are those who should consult a dictionary, I am not going to argue, but to dismiss it as just a means of people expressing pornography is also very simplistic. You seem a little too young to have experienced hip hop from it’s very beginnings. It was a scream that came from the oppression that we as minorities felt and still feel. Or are you blind to that also? How many people do you know right now can feed a family of four with five bucks? A reality for many of our people at this very moment. Hip hop in it’s purity magnified both the worst and the best of our people and their condition. It allowed us to express through our clothes, our dance our visual art and our voice. I don’t believe you really loved hip hop because you sound more ashamed of it. To over intellectualize something that is subjective sometimes conceals fear and shame. Art is art, expression from the depths of places that only those who create and those who find themselves in it can truly understand. All artists leave a piece of themselves in their discipline, open to scrutiny from
even people like you.One love.
