What does it take to rehearse an art that was so long ago founded? How can one sound reach different levels, various styles, and a wide range in opinion? How can music be made as a way to listen for questions never answered? You speak truth from the heart. This was the grabbing point for Trayz. For as long as he could speak, the young kid with soul dreamed of being heard, never doubting for once that his thoughts are just what another human is going through. As a young emcee/poet from a new era, many view Trayz as Hip-Hop's conscience side and unforgettable to it's roots.
Growing up in Long Island, New York, there were many in the game that became (in some way sound or style) an inspiration to what motivates Trayz to 'keep the pen moving.' As a writer to a sound, he's always loved The Fugees, Black Star (Talib Kweli and Mos Def), Common Sense, The Roots, Outkast, Slick Rick, and Nas. As a spoken word artist, he was always amazed by the words of Oveous Maximus, Tshaka, Black Ice and many more. It's been said before that Trayz loves to show his art in more than one way. "Whether i got a thought that can be heard through a beat with flow and all, or just simply when i really need the people to listen to something i should say (forgetting beat and flow), it's all still what i feel." Says Trayz. "It's what I'm going through, what the fam is going through, what Hip-Hop is going through and what it shouldn't have witnessed; it's the love Hip-Hop should know i got for it, the loyalty i got for the people around and the opinion that'll never die. It's Trayz"
